Body Positive Lifting 101

$100

Learn how to lift safely in this introduction to lifting course. Four weeks of guided sessions, 90 minutes per week, covering the basics, community, and gym etiquette.

When: Saturdays, 10:00–11:30 AM

Format: 4 weeks · 90 mins/week

Choosing a gym is really about choosing a community, and the membership path here is built around that idea. The space invites people of all sizes, identities, and experience levels to step onto the platform and engage with barbell training without the usual pressure or judgment. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the options recognize that every lifter arrives with a different history, goals, and relationship to movement. The intent is to meet you where you are, offering a respectful entry point into strength work that honors your individual process from the very first session onward.

For those new to lifting, an introductory course can be a welcoming way to learn the fundamentals in a supportive environment. Guided sessions walk beginners through the basics of safe movement, gym etiquette, and the shared language of strength training, while also introducing them to the people who make up the community. Four weeks of consistent, structured practice gives new lifters a chance to build confidence alongside technique, turning what can feel like an intimidating space into somewhere familiar. The goal is education and connection, not performance pressure or comparison.

Ongoing memberships are designed to support a long-term relationship with training rather than a short-term fix. Members gain regular access to a space that celebrates inherent strength and the differences each person brings to the room, whether they identify as queer, trans, in recovery, or simply someone who wants to lift without stigma. The environment intentionally steps away from diet culture and gendered assumptions about who belongs in a gym. Instead, it centers on consistent effort, personal progress, and the kind of mutual respect that makes showing up feel worthwhile.

Flexibility is part of the philosophy, recognizing that life circumstances shift over time. Different membership tiers allow folks to pick a rhythm that matches their current schedule, energy, and budget, with options that can change as needs evolve. The aim is to remove barriers between people and their training, so that the focus stays on building strength in body, heart, and head. By keeping the structure simple and the tone welcoming, the membership experience reflects the broader mission of creating a gym where everyone can feel at home.
